We're committed to maintaining an open, welcoming environment on our campuses, and we make every effort to accommodate visits to our patients.

Visitors Guidelines
Effective April 1, 2025

Thank you for allowing �첩�� to care for you and your loved ones. Safety remains our highest priority. All visitors must be healthy and not have any of the symptoms listed below. Additionally, while no longer required (some exceptions may apply), we strongly encourage that visitors wear a mask, especially in patient rooms. Hospital masks are available throughout the facility.

Please also note: In accordance with Santa Clara County guidelines, healthcare workers are no longer required to wear a mask unless necessary for safe patient care. However, staff will have the option to wear a mask and we will continue to make masks available.

Individual may not enter if:	Hospital Visitor Guidelines: (Visiting hours by department listed below)
You have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive person(s) in the last 10 days. Feeling unwell or experiencing any of the symptoms below: Fever or chills Cough or sore throat Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Muscle or body aches Headache Fatigue Congestion or runny nose New loss of taste or smell Nausea or vomiting Diarrhea	Masking is strongly recommended for all visitors. Use hand sanitizer when you enter the hospital, and again when you enter and exit the patient room. Inpatient units: Visitors 17 years old or younger must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Labor and Delivery and Post-partum Units: Visitors under 12 years old must be supervised by non-patient adult during visiting hours. No children overnight. Emergency Department: Visitor(s) must be 18+ years old. Visiting a COVID-19 positive patient: Certain restrictions and guidelines apply. See COVID-19 Positive Visitor Guidelines for details. Visiting a patient on isolation precautions: Check with nursing staff regarding guidelines. Age restrictions may apply.

Visiting Hours and Guidelines by Department:
Inpatient Units	8 a.m. �� 8 p.m.	Two (2) support persons at a time.
Critical Care / Intensive Care Units (CCU/ICU)	9 a.m. - 1 p.m. 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.	Two (2) support persons at a time.
Pediatrics	Open hours	Two (2) support persons at a time.
Labor & Delivery	Open hours	Up to maximum five (5) visitors at a time (including doula and/or partner); visitors under 12 years old must be supervised by non-patient adult during visiting hours. No children overnight.
Maternity / Postpartum Unit	8 a.m. - 8 p.m. *Time based on access to visitor entry.	Up to maximum five (5) support persons at a time (including partner); visitors under 12 years old must be supervised by non-patient adult during visiting hours. No children overnight. Overnight: One (1) designated support person
�첩�� Perinatal Diagnostic Center (PDC)	During scheduled appointment	One (1) support person for adult patient; Some exceptions may apply, contact clinic for details.
NICU	Open hours	Two (2) support persons at a time; one must include banded parent
Surgery Department	Open hours	Mountain View: Two (2) support persons allowed. Los Gatos: One (1) support person allowed.
Emergency Department	Open hours	One (1) - two (2) support persons allowed, based on space and volume; must be 18+ years old
�첩�� Outpatient Services	During scheduled appointment	One (1) support person allowed for adult patient. Two (2) support persons for minor patient.
Mental Health Inpatient	11:30 a.m. �� 12:30 p.m. 4:30 p.m. �� 6:30 p.m.	Two (2) support persons allowed. Other restrictions may apply, contact department for details.
Mental Health Outpatient		Two (2) support persons during appointment
Cancer Center		One (1) support person during appointment
Inpatient Rehab	8 a.m. �� 8 p.m.	Two (2) support persons at a time.
Exception to Above Visitor Guidelines Include:
End of Life	Open hours with Assistant Hospital Manager guidance	Three (3) support persons at a time, exceptions available upon request
