Community Transportation Options

• RoadRunners transportation service 鈥� Offered by El Camino Hospital Auxiliary, this service is available for those who live within 10 miles of the Mountain View campus or within 8 miles of the Los Gatos campus. Call 650-940-7016 for more information.

   Senior Helpers is a caregiving service that provides Home Health Aide to Veterans who need assistance with daily activities. Transportation assistance to and from appointments is included in Veteran care. Pre-registration is required for transportation services.

RYDE provides trips to area doctors' offices, hospitals, the Sunnyvale Caltrain Center and the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.    A concierge service for seniors who want to schedule rides with Lyft but do not have smart phones. Upon request, HOV will schedule rides or send a volunteer to help a client learn how to use their smart phones to reach Lyft and take their first ride with them if they prefer.    This program provides scheduling, transportation, translation and interpretation, as well as advocacy for seniors by trained professionals and volunteers.    Comfort Keepers Home Care matches care givers to clients who need assistance with daily activity. Senior transportation is one of many services offered, which includes getting to and from appointments, running errands and grocery shopping, meeting friends and social activities, visiting family.
