Some mothers may need special care, such as teens or first-time pregnancies after age 35, those that smoke or drink, or those with diabetes, high blood pressure or other existing or developing conditions. If your doctor determines that your pregnancy is high-risk, you鈥檒l likely have more frequent visits, and may have additional testing including ultrasounds, genetic, or blood tests.
